Reflect and Celebrate

By Hanna Waas

Looking back on 2023 at KEO, it has been a year of growth and development with the foundation of our KEO values of connection, kindness, lifelong learning and striving for excellence. We have had many amazing therapists join our team, increasing our ability to support a wide range of participants in our communities to reach their goals.

Rolling out our key worker service in the early childhood space with a team of occupational therapists, speech pathologists and physiotherapists also allows us to work with families of young children following this best practice model. Overarchingly, the theme behind everything we do is striving to be the best we can be, always looking at ways we can improve. At KEO we consistently review best practice and emerging evidence with the goal of supporting our therapy team, and achieving the best outcomes for participants and their families.

Our recent organisation wide team building day included a presentation from The Resilience Project, encouraging us all to consider and practice gratitude, empathy, and mindfulness, for our wellbeing, and the wellbeing of others. Reflecting on this opportunity to get together with people from across KEO, and build on our strength as a team, highlights the gratitude I feel to be part of a company that fits my personal values so well, and this is a theme I hear echoed by many colleagues.

Heading into 2024 continues to be an exciting time at KEO, and I look forward to what the year ahead holds for both the KEO team and the communities we support.
