About the opportunity

This is a unique opportunity where you will experience the best of both worlds working within aged care facilities as well as in the community working with Home Care Package clients and supporting them to achieve their goals. 

You’ll be surrounded by and learn from a team of senior physiotherapists while assessing client needs and developing intervention programs with a purpose of making a real difference in their quality of life.

Your Role as a Physiotherapist will include:

  • Diverse caseload working across aged care in residential facilities and in the community with Home Care Package clients
  • Comprehensive assessments, care plan development and regular evaluation
  • Working with a team to deliver client-centred physiotherapy assessments and interventions
  • Functional exercise prescription and progression with access to rehab equipment
  • Group exercise classes aimed at healthy ageing
  • Implementation of a Health and Wellbeing program to deliver individualised physiotherapy programs for each client
  • Liaison with clients, families, nursing staff, medical practitioners, allied health practitioners and equipment suppliers
  • Facilitation of falls prevention workshops, manual handling and lifelong learning opportunities to develop as a therapist
  • Report writing and advocating for the needs of your clients to case managers
  • Managing a daily case load with autonomy to plan your day

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy
  • Car and drivers’ licence
  • AHPRA registration
  • Police Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
